Kingfisher: oak cookie table with blue resin on hairpin legs

Kingfisher: oak cookie table with blue resin on hairpin legs

£420.00Price

A single slice of oak, cut straight across the trunk so every growth ring radiates out from the heart, with the natural shape of the tree left round the edge. Where the oak cracked and a knot fell away as it dried, I've filled them with a bright blue resin, which runs right over the edge and down the side like water finding its way. It stands on black steel hairpin legs, which keep it looking light despite the weight of the oak. A side table, a coffee table for a smaller room, or a spot for the lamp and a good book.

  • Top: approx 53cm across (it keeps the natural shape of the trunk, so it isn't perfectly round), 7cm thick

  • Height: approx 47cm on 40cm hairpin legs

  • Want it taller or lower? I can fit different legs, just ask

  • Collection and delivery: free to collect from my workshop near Sevenoaks, or free delivery within 20 miles. Further afield, get in touch before ordering and I'll quote for delivery

Finished with Odie's oil: a food-safe, solvent-free wood finish that nourishes and protects both wood and resin, bringing out the natural beauty in every curve and swirl.
