Full bodied: burr elm and Merlot resin

A single piece of burr elm, its ragged top edge rising like a ridge line, set in merlot resin, a deep wine red with a soft pearly swirl. Burr is the tangled growth on the outside of a tree, and the grain does whatever it likes. Here, it looks a bit like a mountain range at sunset.
