Walnut & resin art / serving board with acer leaves

There is something very special about walnut. This piece is from an english walnut tree, felled in the south east of england, and has been beautifully combined with autumn acer leaves. I collected the leaves from my garden in Sevenoaks, dried and varnished them (to maintain the colour), before setting them in clear resin. This is beautiful as a piece of art, but of course can be used as a display or serving board. 
 
The board measures 30cm x 21cm and is treated with food safe Odies Oil, which resists stains, moisture, and water as well as wine, oil, grease, saliva, and juice etc.
