The Jewel Collection; mermaid mirror (gift boxed)

Part of the Jewel Collection, a series of small format works where wood and resin meet in 14cm square.
 
Two pieces from a cookie of spalted beech meet across a river of mermaid resin. The wood is all drama and figuring, with the calm river between the peninsulars.
