The Jewel Collection: Bloom (gift boxed)

Part of the Jewel Collection, a series of small format works where wood and resin meet in 15cm square.
 
Burr wood in full figuring, the kind of intricate, clustered grain that takes decades to form, frames a river of deep raspberry resin that runs through the centre like something flowering. The colour shifts between pink and plum depending on the light.
 
Bold enough to hold its own on a wall. Small enough to sit on your desk and make you smile every day.
